The higher the index, the smaller the influence of viscosity and temperature. The lower the index, the greater the influence of temperature on viscosity. The oil should have a proper viscosity, which is an important indicator of the properties of the oil and the basis of its performance. If the viscosity is too small, the oil will be pressed out of the friction surface under the condition that the friction parts are pressed, forming dry friction or semi-dry friction; If the viscosity is too large and the fluidity is poor, it is difficult to enter the gap between the friction surfaces, which will also increase the friction force, affect the power of the internal combustion engine and make it difficult to start the internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine works at a high temperature, and the smaller the change of oil viscosity, the better.
2. The oil should not contain acid-base substances that have corrosive effects on metals, which will rust the metal surface.
3. The engine oil should not burn easily. When the engine oil enters the combustion chamber, the smaller the viscosity after combustion, the better.
